gives its name to a series showing Ho Chi Minh City through the scope of residents crossing tirelessly its streets.
In Ho Chi Minh City for the first time, one can only be fascinated by the flow of scooters which seems to irrigate the town. A swirl populated by as many individuals as strong images: three generations gathered on the same motorcycle, delivery men loaded with incongruous objects in a precarious equilibrium, women protected from head to toe by flowery textiles and much more.
Characters dressed in the LEMAIRE Spring-Summer 2023 collection can be discovered in various poses, embodying different ways of standing and moving all around this particularly dense urban fabric.
Through these photos of movement, one comes across isolated or entangled bodies, clothes bonded or tied in several fashions. Behind these gestures and under a few helmets, one can read the architecture of the body as well as the city it inhabits and the life of the garments when left alone.
Tran Van Minh, Hoang Anthony, Nguyen Gia Phong, Pham Cong Toan, Nguyen Thi Ha Phuong, Le Thi Hue Huong, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh, Duong Thanh Binh and Lam Thu Hang have, over the course of a day, reenacted their daily life in front of the lens of Osma Harvilahti.
